Itinerary for Kilimanjaro trekking and wildlife safari
Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel in Moshi. Relax and get settled in for the night.
Day 2: Kilimanjaro Trekking - Machame Route
After breakfast, we will drive to Kilimanjaro National Park to begin the trekking expedition. We will hike through the rainforest to the Machame campsite (3,010m) for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Kilimanjaro Trekking - Shira Camp
We continue our trek today and move onto the Shira Plateau (3,845m) where we will set up camp for the night.
Day 4: Kilimanjaro Trekking - Barranco Camp
Today we trek to Barranco Camp (3,950m) and have a chance to take in the beautiful scenery and views of the surrounding peaks.
Day 5: Kilimanjaro Trekking - Karanga Camp
We continue our ascent to Karanga Camp (3,995m) where we will spend the night before continuing to the summit.
Day 6: Kilimanjaro Trekking - Barafu Camp
We trek to Barafu Camp (4,600m) where we will rest and prepare for our summit attempt.
Day 7: Kilimanjaro Trekking - Uhuru Peak
Today is the day we attempt to reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro! We will start our ascent in the middle of the night to reach Uhuru Peak (5,895m) in time for sunrise. After taking in the amazing views, we will begin our descent to Mweka Camp (3,100m) for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 8: Kilimanjaro Trekking - Mweka Gate
Today we finish our trekking expedition and descend to Mweka Gate where we will meet our driver and transfer back to Moshi for a well-deserved rest.
Day 9: Wildlife Safari - Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, we will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, which is known for its tree-climbing lions, elephants, and flamingos. We will have a game drive in the park before heading to our lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 10: Wildlife Safari - Serengeti National Park
Today, we will drive to Serengeti National Park where we will spend the next two days. We will have game drives in the park and the chance to see the "Big Five" - lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos. We will stay in a lodge within the park for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 11: Wildlife Safari - Serengeti National Park
We will have a full day of game drives in Serengeti National Park, exploring different areas and observing the wildlife. We will return to our lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 12: Wildlife Safari - Ngorongoro Crater
We will drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to a large concentration of wildlife. We will have a game drive in the crater before heading back to our lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 13: Departure
After breakfast, we will transfer you back to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back home.
