Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by a representative from our company who will transfer you to your hotel in Moshi.
Day 2: Trekking Day 1
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to the Marangu gate, where you will register for the climb. From there, you will trek to Mandara Hut, which is located at an altitude of 2,700 meters. The trek takes about 4-5 hours and you will spend the night at the hut.
Day 3: Trekking Day 2
After breakfast, you will trek to Horombo Hut, which is located at an altitude of 3,720 meters. The trek takes about 5-6 hours and you will pass through the heathland and moorland zones. You will spend the night at Horombo Hut.
Day 4: Trekking Day 3
Today is an acclimatization day and you will have the option to take a short trek to Zebra Rocks, which is located at an altitude of 3,980 meters. You will spend the night at Horombo Hut.
Day 5: Trekking Day 4
After breakfast, you will trek to Kibo Hut, which is located at an altitude of 4,703 meters. The trek takes about 5-6 hours and you will pass through the alpine desert zone. You will spend the night at Kibo Hut.
Day 6: Trekking Day 5
Today is the summit day and you will start the trek at around midnight. You will reach the summit, Uhuru Peak, at sunrise. After taking photos and enjoying the views, you will descend back to Kibo Hut for a short rest before continuing down to Horombo Hut for the night.
Day 7: Trekking Day 6
After breakfast, you will trek back to the Marangu gate, where you will be picked up and transferred back to your hotel in Arusha.
Day 8: Safari Day 1
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Tarangire National Park, which is known for its large herds of elephants and baobab trees. You will enjoy a full-day game drive in the park before returning to your lodge for the night.
Day 9: Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight.
