Itinerary for the best 9 days Serengeti private safari
Arrival Day
On your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) you will be transferred to your hotel in Arusha by your private guide, drop-off at your hotel in Arusha and your guide will be around just to help you with any emergent need you may have regarding your stay and this private safari, You will be briefed by the guide about this Serengeti private safari and you can explore the city of Arusha or choose to relax at your hotel
Day 1: Tarangire national park
On the first day of this private safari tour we will drive to Tarangire National Park, Tarangire is home to very massive herds of elephants compared to any other park in north Tanzania, you will spot huge and ancient baobab trees on your drive in the park, a lunch break at Tarangire river picnic site watch out for small monkeys trying to scare you off your meal
Day 2: Serengeti national park
Finish your early breakfast and drive to Serengeti National Park a UNESCO World Heritage Site you will pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation area and enjoy the game view en route, Serengeti gives the best game viewing in the world with its Great Wildebeest migration the biggest land Mammal migration where over 1.7 million wildebeest accompanied by hundreds thousand of other herbivores migrates annually in a Serengeti-Maasai Mara ecosystem. This day we will explore the central part of the park the Seronera area, you will have dinner and overnight at a comfortable tented camp here in Serengeti
Day 3: North Serengeti game drive
After breakfast you will depart for north Serengeti National Park, expect to see a lot of wildebeest and zebras in a strategic partnership for their survival trying to cross the crocodile-infested Mara River, a lot of big cats are present in the park lucky enough you can witness a hunting action, we will have a mid-day lunch during the game drive itself and continue to drive toward the Seronera area.
Day 4: Serengeti national park
After an early breakfast, we will begin a game drive to various parts of the parks. We will then return to the camp for lunch and parking for a journey back to Ngorongoro where we will spend the night at Simba campsite which is just on the top of the crater ready for an early descent in the morning.
Day 5-6: Ngorongoro crater
After an early breakfast, we will descend the crater on a journey to find the black rhinos. Rhinos are the hardest to spot in the beautiful crater as most animals will be easier to spot from this park due to it being a floor crater so it will take at least two days to explore for this magically rare creature, your accommodations for a Dinners and Overnights will be at Sunbright campings
Day 7: Lake Manyara national park
After an early breakfast, we will go to the Manyara National Park. We will do a game drive, and you'll be viewing plenty of birds (including the famous flamingos on the lake). If you are lucky enough, you can spot the famous tree-climbing lions. We will visit the hippo pool for a close look at the hippos, and we will also spend time in the hot spring. During the drive, other animals you'll be able to see are buffalo, wildebeest, warthogs, vultures, eagles, and monkeys. Later on return to your accommodations.
Day 8: Morning cultural activity, optional Maasai village
Local activities include a Zipline, cultural hike, biking to the Lake Manyara shoreline, Mto wa Mbu village tour, Tinga Tinga painting class, or a coffee tour. One of these will be done as a half-day morning tour.
There are many authentic Masaai villages in the area to visit. Here you have a chance to get to know authentic Maasai families and see what real life is like for the locals. You can visit homes, watch traditional dances, and purchase homemade jewelry. Later drive back to Arusha city drop-off at your accomodation
Day 9: Departure day
Today you will be transferred back to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) in time for your flight which marks the end of your 9-day Serengeti private safari.
