Itinerary for 6-day Tanzania Group Joining and Sharing Safari
Day 1: Arusha-Lake Manyara
Your 6-day Tanzania group joining and sharing safari starts by picking you up from your hotel and then driving to Lake Manyara. Nestling at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, the park is recognized for its incredible beauty. You can see many game animals such as Buffalo, Elephants, Giraffes, Impalas, hippos, and others. Overnight at Panorama Campsite. Lunchbox and dinner included.
Day 2: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park via Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, passing through the picturesque highland farmland of Karatu. We will leave the highlands behind and descend into the Serengeti National Park. It's the heart of untamed Africa, with its vast grasslands stretching as far as the eye can see.
Then head to the Seronera section of the park, one of the park's finest animal areas, containing the Seronera River. It offers a vital water source to this area and hence attracts wildlife that is well representative of most of the Serengeti's species. Arrive in time for lunch and have a wildlife drive in the Serengeti National Park in the afternoon. Dinner and your overnight stay are at your shared tented camp.
Day 3: Full Game drive at Serengeti
Begin your game drive in the Serengeti National Park early in the morning. We are completely open to your preferences, and this day will be planned around them. Every day of the safari, your guide will discuss the best times for you, including game drives and wake-up calls. On this day, for example, you could go on a morning game drive, then return to the camp/lodge for lunch/brunch and relaxation before going on another afternoon game drive. You could also go on a game drive and bring a picnic lunch. You will return to the tented camp safari accommodations after the game drive.
Day 4: Serengeti-Ngorongoro crater
After an early breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for supper and stay at the camp, with game drives along the way. You will be able to stop along the trip in one of the Maasai villages for at least 30 minutes for a native tribe experience. Simba Public Campsite is where you'll spend the night.
Day 5: Ngorongoro crater-Karatu
This day begins early in the morning with a picnic lunch before descending the 2000 feet to the Crater floor in our 4WD vehicle for wildlife watching. Let's have a look around this Garden of Eden. Ngorongoro Crater is a massive and deep volcanic crater in Tanzania. The Crater's bottom has abundant grassland, marshes, woodland, and constant water, which is why the fauna is so diverse and prolific. After that, you'll drive to Panorama Campsite.
Day 6: Tarangire National Park-Arusha city
During this time of the year, thousands of animals migrate from the dry Maasai steppe to the Tarangire River for water. Covering an area of 2,600 sqkm, Tarangire is known for its large herds of elephants and buffalo. Other popular species to see here are lions, giraffes, impalas, wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles.
It is also the only known reserve where the fringe-eared Oryx is seen. Olduvai Gorge: Located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the Olduvai Gorge is 180 km from Arusha. It was here that Dr. Louis Leakey discovered the remains of Homo habilis aka “Handyman” which was considered the first step up mankind’s ladder of human evolution. Many fossils of prehistoric elephants, giant horned sheep, and huge ostriches have also been discovered here. We do a game drive in the park. Return to Arusha in the afternoon.
