Itinerary for 6-Days Kilimanjaro climbing Marangu route
Day 1: Marangu Gate (1,860m) to Mandara Hut (2,700m)
After heavy breakfast, you will be driven from the Hotel to the Marangu Gate, where you'll complete the necessary registration and meet your guides and porters. The climbing begins through the rainforest, and you'll reach Mandara Hut for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Mandara Hut (2,700m) to Horombo Hut (3,720m)
After breakfast you will outclimb the rainforest and continue trekking to Horombo hut You'll pass by Maundi Crater and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding landscapes and enter the heath and moorland zone. Get your first clear view of towering Kilimanjaro, dinner and overnight at Colombo hut.

Day 3: Acclimatization Day at Horombo Hut
On day three this day aid acclimatization, you'll spend an extra day at Horombo Hut. You can choose to take a day hike to Zebra Rocks or explore the area, allowing your body to adjust to the increasing altitude. It is crucial to hydrate and rest during this day.

Day 4: Horombo Hut (3,720m) to Kibo Hut (4,703m)
After a good night's rest and breakfast you will trek past the last, and you'll pass the "Last Water Point" a great desert between the two peaks Mawenzi and Kibo before reaching Kibo Hut, located at the base of the Kibo summit An early dinner and overnight at Kibo hut.

Day 5: Summit Day - Kibo Hut (4,703m) to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) and descent to Horombo Hut (3,720m)
You'll start the ascent to the summit during the early hours of the morning, usually around midnight. The trek is challenging and steep, and you'll reach Gilman's Point (5,681m) at the edge of the crater rim. From there, it's another 1-2 hours to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Here you will spend some time taking photos and celebrating your achievement. you'll descend back to Kibo Hut and continue further down to Horombo Hut for the night.

Day 6: Horombo Huts camp to Marangu Gate to Moshi
After a long sleep you will be awakened for breakfast and pack, continue your descent through the moorland to Mandara Huts. Here you will have lunch then proceed your triumphant recessional down through the lush forest to Marangu Park gate. After the gate sign-out, a vehicle will take you back to the hotel where it is time for your certificate presentation and celebration!
